 The quintessential Nantucket wedding, Audra and Tripp’s celebration of this special day really captured the essence of what is unique about a Nantucket wedding. Their wedding as a result has been featured in Boston Weddings (Spring/Summer 2009) and N Magazine (Summer 2008).
Nantucket was the obvious location for this couple’s wedding ever since Audra first invited Tripp to visit after meeting in college. When Tripp proposed to Audra at Great Point Lighthouse while on their annual vacation, it confirmed Nantucket as their perfect place to be married.
 Some of the finest wedding vendors on Nantucket worked with Audra and Tripp to create this memorable occasion. This was not just a special day, but an entire weekend planned to perfection, with the coordination by Nicole Whelden of . Starting with the Rehearsal Dinner lobster fest on the beach, the wedding at the First Congregational Church, a tented reception in Shawkemo, and the final wedding party brunch, family and friends enjoyed all that Nantucket has to offer.
It is the attention to details that make a wedding so memorable. Dawn Kelly of ’s creations of white blooming flowers, including spray roses, lisianthus, peonies, and hydrangea, as well as the chandeliers made from tea lights and glass cylinders, provided such details. The tabletops set by Jen Shepherd of made an elegant frame for the fabulous reception meal prepared by Mark and Ethne Yelle of . Jerry Bennett and his made sure that all the guests were in the dancing mood.
 Audra chose a silk faille bridal gown by Vera Wang while her groom was dressed in “Nantucket Reds” from Murray’s Toggery Shop. The bride and groom were driven to the reception in a 1929 Model A Woody by . From the , set up on the oceanfront property of Robert Gambee, the wedding party and guests had a splendid view of both the Congregational Church and Great Point. For Audra and Tripp their wedding was always all about Nantucket, and the memories of this special place and time will be forever captured in the beautiful photos of their wedding shot by .
