Nantucket: A Season For All Weddings

Photo by Claudia Kronenberg/Flowers by Flowers on Chestnut

What is the best season for a wedding on Nantucket? Although June and September are the prime months for Nantucket weddings, each season on the island has its own special charm. What better way to express that charm than through the language of flowers. As nature's messengers of love and remembrance, flowers represent the very essence of a wedding - its colors, themes, and traditions.

On Nantucket, daffodils and forsythia herald the coming of Spring, while fragrant flowerings of roses and hydrangeas adorn Summer's gardens. Fall on Nantucket is glorious with the rich, tawny hues of the moors and cranberry bogs. Celebrate a wedding in December when the air is crisp and the island is decorated with the evergreens and reds of the holidays. Whatever the season, Nantucket provides a stunning backdrop for the floral displays in a wedding.
